Without question, the huge increase in the cost of gas has had an enormous impact on Dutch growers.
Some are reducing the amount of heat that they use, and some have switched off completely allowing certain varieties to go into a form of hibernation. However, many of the Floral Fundamentals growers have bucked the trend and are continuing as normal because they want to ensure the continued standard of excellence of their flowers.
