Berit Skjøttgaard Laursen

Berit’s floristry is natural, pure, full of harmony, cheerful, respectful, vital and simple – using large quantity of materials found in nature and working with every part of the material, the whole length, from the root right up to the flower.

As Berit says, “As a florist, I´ve worked a great deal with different shapes, styles, and I really enjoy working with movement, above all in large pieces. The goal and need to explore and learn all the time keep me moving forward; this is my passion. I like working with all techniques, whatever the floral work demands, and immersing myself in knowledge and understanding of how to work in different ways.”

She has been Champion of Denmark several times and Nordic and International Champion too! She is a keen competitor. She says, “I don’t focus on my opponents, but like the challenge of working under pressure in search of the best result in my work. It’s really fun and I love the challenge.”

She travels around the world, teaching, doing workshops and demonstrations!

I work respectfully with each flower and material I use in my pieces, showing each one at its best.

Berit lives in Denmark and has been in Floristry business for many years. Owner of flower and design since 2014 and have a wonderful showroom in her hometown Aarhus, Denmark.

She teaches at the Danish Schools for Florists, she is an educated flower judge, holds Master Seminars, is a consultant for Danish flower shops, holds courses and seminars at a competitive level, sits in “The Professional Group” in the Danish Flower Association “Floristen Danmark” which takes care of the education and competitions for Florists in Denmark.

Berit has been one of the Master Florists forming part of the FLOOS project since 2015. Besides that, Berit has been a part of Floral Fundamental since the beginning.
