Summerflowers began out of a deep love for beautiful, sometimes “forgotten” flowers – the kind you won’t find in every supermarket, yet the kind that can transform an ordinary bouquet into something unforgettable. While roses and chrysanthemums are available everywhere year-round, there are hundreds of other stunning flowers that bloom only briefly and carry a story worth telling.

That’s where Summerflowers steps in. They support the smaller, passionate nursery by helping growers tell their story and by informing wholesalers and florists about the existence and availability of these special products. They also provide the inspiration and practical knowledge needed to get the very best out of every stem.

Today, nearly 70 growers of seasonal flowers are part of the Summerflowers group, collectively growing over 250 different flowers. While these growers account for less than 10% of total flower volume, their range represents roughly 90% of the variety of flowers cultivated – making them the icing on the cake that turns a standard bouquet into something extraordinary.

It’s not a fight against mass-produced flowers – quite the opposite. Without those reliable, high-volume crops there would be no base to build on, and without the seasonal flowers there would be no character, no surprise, and no story.

Summerflowers serves growers, traders, and florists alike, connecting all three worlds through knowledge, inspiration, and a shared passion. They believe that once you know the story behind a flower, you appreciate it more – and they share a new one every week.
